[/i][/center] Johanna sat in the warm little cafe, nursing a half-warm cup of coffee and perfectly content with life. To any bystander, she might look like a girl staring pensively out the window, perhaps thinking about some problem or what she needed to get done that day. In reality, she was simply enjoying the feel of the sun on her face, waiting patiently in the pleasant late-autumn warmth for her boyfriend to arrive. Boyfriend. It was such an immature, ill-fitting term for what Carson was to her. Terms like soulmate or Mr. Right or "the one" were more fitting, if a bit cheesy. He was perfect. He was warm and romantic and caring and patient. Loving him felt like what the movies made love look like - easy as falling. Society say what it will, he was the one she was spending the rest of her life with. Jo let out a quiet sigh, thoughts of Carson floating through her head. She sat up and took a sip of her coffee. Carson didn't usually take so long, but she didn't mind waiting. (Not for him, anyways.) If anything, it was an opportunity. She reached over to her bag, strung across the back of her chair, and pulled out her Moleskine. She flipped to a blank page and began sketching some of the cafe's unwitting customers.
