Even though she was used to it, she hated it, being the new student, not knowing anyone; it sucked. She was surviving the long days of having no one but herself, and as of today, she had gotten through half of another one. As usual no one even made an attempt to talk to the quiet new girl, a few stares here and there, but they let her be, she was familiar with that though, it was the same at each school. New town, new school, new faces, same routine. It was hard, but as she constantly repeated to herself, she was used to it.
Aria made her way down the locker bay, keeping her blue-grey eyes locked on the black patent leather flats that donned her feet. As long as she made no eye contact with her fellow classmates then she would be fine, they couldn't find a way to hate her; or at least she hoped they couldn't. She kept her one hand shoved in the pocket of her dark blue skinny jeans as she walked briskly while the other was holding onto the strap of the large black purse/book bag that rested over her shoulder. Finally she eyed the cowgirl boots that her lockers neighbor had been wearing that morning and with that she slowed down then stopped next to the boots. The owner of the boots, some brunette girl, turned to look at her before turning and walking in the opposite direction. Aria eyed her retreating back as she walked and once the girl turned down the hall, Aria turned to face her locker. She stared at the combination lock on her locker, trying to remember the random numbers that it made up. Of course life would be easier for her if she could just bring her old lock from school to school, but as luck would have it, she couldn't. So here she was, coming to a complete blank as to what her combination was. She had written it down, but she needed to remember it.
After a few moments of staring at it, with only one number coming to her mind, she gave up. She pulled up the edge of her black and cream stripped, off the should tee, and pulled a slim strip of paper from the edge of jeans. Opening it up she read over the combination carefully before placing the paper back against her hip. She quickly ran her glittery gold painted nailed fingers over the lock and within seconds the lock was loose and she was pulling open her locker. Unlike most students, her locker was bare, save for one lone mirror on the door. She didn't have many pictures and she sure as hell wasn't putting a picture of her parents in her locker. So she settled on a mirror. She ignored the mirror for now though, instead reaching into her bag to exchange the book in it for the next half of her days books. Afterwards she reached up to the top shelf of the locker and pulled out a brown bag, her lunch. She shoved the small bag into her bag then let her eyes roam over the titles of her books making sure she didn't forget one.
She then turned to face the mirror, intending for just a quick one over on herself. Her fingers went up to the edges of her eyes wiping away at a smudge in the thin line of eyeliner she wore, the only makeup she wore other then cherry chapstick. She bit at her currently bare lips as she made sure the liner was no longer smudged then pulled the chapstick from her pocket and reapplied it before putting it back. Her hands quickly went up to her hair, making sure the fishtail braid was still intact and sitting over a length of her caramel colored hair. Once she was satisfied she quickly went to shut her locker as she turned from it.
But as her luck went, she got stuck. Aria turned to stare at the corner of her loose shirt that got caught in the locker. Letting out a loud sigh, she dropped her bag to the floor, ignoring the stares she got, and went to reopen her locker to let her shirt loose.
